It was organized virtually this Tuesday, September 22nd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Rwandan Head of State, Paul Kagame, chose this precise moment to quote this former Israeli Prime Minister and President who died four years ago. &#8220;Peace is not a political choice. He served twice as Prime Minister and twice as Acting Prime Minister and as President. He has been a member of 12 cabinets. His political career was 66 years long.<\/p>\n<p>He is one of the three leaders who shared the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994. The others were Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin. It was in recognition of their efforts to make peace in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>On 13 September 2016, Peres, then 93 years old, suffered a serious stroke.
