This initiative was taken following the containment of the population due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last Saturday, 28 March, local governments distributed food to vulnerable families house by house.\u00a0 The task was entrusted to the committees in the villages closest to the population.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Local Administration, Prof. Anastase Shyaka, has asked anyone wishing to show solidarity with the vulnerable population to approach these committees to give them their contribution.<\/p>\n<p>The population of Kigali is made up of various categories. Some people live from day to day. As a result, they need food assistance in order to effectively comply with the confinement.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State, Paul Kagame, in his address to the nation the day before, had announced this gesture of solidarity on National Television.
