The coronavirus within our walls. The Head of State, Paul Kagame, says that the lessons learned strengthen the unity of Rwandans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a pre-recorded note, the Head of State, Paul Kagame, said that the lessons learned during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis are strengthening the unity of Rwandans. &#8220;The lessons learned strengthen our unity. &#8220;He said. &#8220;They teach us the importance of good governance, which is concerned with the social well-being of the population. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>The first lady also talks about the unity of the Rwandans on her twitter account. &#8220;Today we commemorate for the 26th time the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi &#8230; May this moment serve us to meditate on our history, while reminding us that our unity gives us the strength to overcome. &#8220;she recalls.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State, Paul Kagame, accompanied by the First Lady, Jeannette Kagame, lit the torch of hope at the Gisozi memorial site to launch the period of remembrance. They also laid a wreath of flowers in honour of the victims of the Tutsi genocide.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-431\" src=\"https:\/\/lecanape.rw\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/04\/Le-Flambeau.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"913\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lecanape.rw\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/04\/Le-Flambeau.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/lecanape.rw\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/04\/Le-Flambeau-300x267.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lecanape.rw\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/04\/Le-Flambeau-768x685.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lecanape.rw\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/04\/Le-Flambeau-750x669.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the presidential couple, some high authorities were able to lay down after wreaths of flowers on the site of Gisozi.<\/p>\n<p>The commemoration for the 26th is in the family because of the coronavirus. The memorial march has been cancelled this year. No candlelight vigil. No public ceremony has been scheduled outside of Kigali.
