He laid down a condition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Those who seek Burundi&#8217;s friendship must first send us the criminals to be judged,&#8221; President Ndayishimiye said during a visit to Busoni commune in Kirundo province, which borders Rwanda. It was Thursday, August 6, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Without mentioning Rwanda, Ndayishimiye said that Burundian refugees in exile were taken hostage to protect the criminals. And that he &#8220;cannot maintain good relations with hypocrites. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Recently the Rwandan Head of State, Paul Kagame, in an interview with the newspaper the East African, expressed the wish that &#8220;both governments begin to address the underlying problems. &#8220;He added, &#8220;We are eager to improve relations, but there is a lot involved.
