The Rwandan Head of State, Paul Kagame, denies the presence of Rwandan Defence Forces (RDF) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The statement was made during a press conference on Monday 27 April.
“There are no Rwandan soldiers on the soil of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). ” Said President Paul Kagame during a virtual press conference.
He said he was surprised by the statements of experts who are turning away from the truth of the facts in South Kivu in the DRC. The reality is the presence of armed groups and Burundian soldiers operating in South Kivu.

President Félix Tshisekedi expressed his willingness to restore security in the Kivu region as soon as he acceded to the supreme magistracy of his country, the DRC.
