The Council of Ministers of this Monday, May 18 authorizes the organization of civil weddings. Most of the preventive measures against covid-19 are maintained.
In the context of covid-19, the Council of Ministers authorised the organisation of civil marriages with the participation of up to 15 persons.
However, the churches remain closed. And religious marriages are not allowed in the current context of the fight against the coronavirus.
The motorcycles could resume their services on 01 June 2020. Public transport remains functional in the same province and in the City of Kigali. This measure could be reviewed on June 1, 2020.
The curfew is advanced by one hour. It will start at 21 hours instead of 20 hours.
All other preventive measures against coronavirus remain in force.
Furthermore, the same Council of Ministers was informed of the decision of the Head of State to pardon 50 young women convicted of abortion. The Council of Ministers also approved the ministerial order for the conditional release of 3,596 convicted persons.
