The Rwandan Head of State declared that every Rwandan is capable of heroic acts on the occasion of the celebration of Heroes’ Day.
It refers to the invaluable work done by the doctors and nurses as well as the security services, to whom it expresses its gratitude.
“As we continue the fight against covid-19, we thank the front line health workers, the security services for their heroic sacrifice and call on every citizen to keep each other safe,” said Paul Kagame, President of the Republic.
The Head of State recalled that Heroes’ Day, celebrated on February 1, is a time to honour heroes for their selfless dedication to the country. “The Nation we have is a result of their sacrifice. These are values that we must pass on to future generations,” he said.
Heroes’ Day is celebrated this year 2021 while Kigali is in full confinement. For the provinces, inter-district transport is not allowed.
