The Ministry of Health announced this Monday, April 13, that one person was infected and 17 were cured. A total of 42 people have been released from hospital.
Out of 901 samples examined over 24 hours, only one individual tested positive. The total number of people already contaminated is 127. However, of these, a total of 42 have been treated and are now well healed, 17 of them within 24 hours. Thus, the number of patients under treatment has risen to 85.
By April 12, the daily report had revealed 6 new cases of coronavirus out of 1160 samples examined. The number of infected individuals had reached 126, 25 of whom had recovered. Among them 7 in 24 hours. The number of patients under treatment was 101.
On April 11, the Ministry of Health had announced 2 new contaminations out of 842 samples examined. The total number of contaminated people had reached 120, 18 of whom had been cured. In fact, only 102 people were sick.
The finding shows that the progression is positive because the number of people infected is lower than the number of people healed daily.
The average number of tests per day would not be below 900. The police have initiated the use of drones to give messages to the population at higher risk of contamination.
All the measures taken and the results of those measures give hope for a victory against the coronavirus.
The Head of State, Paul Kagame, during his visit last Sunday to the command post against coronavirus, had not hidden his hope to end this pandemic in the coming days.
