The winner of the Tour of Rwanda 2018, Samuel Mugisha, is flying to France on Saturday, August 1, 2020. He has been recruited by the club LMP-La Roche Sur Yon.
Samuel Mugisha, Rwandan cyclist winner of the 2018 Tour of Rwanda and the 2019 Rwanda Cycling Cup, Huye criterium, leaves for France this Saturday.
He will honour his contract signed at the end of 2019 in Kigali with a second division team, LMP-La Roche Sur Yon Vendée.
The Covid-19 pandemic did not allow him to do so before as flights had been suspended.
The president of the Rwandan Cycling Federation (FERWACY), Abdallah Murenzi, confirms and specifies that his stay will be for two months (August to October).
This means that Samuel Mugisha will not represent Rwanda at the 2020 Road World Championships scheduled from 20 to 27 September in Aigle de Martigny in Switzerland.
