President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi announces the appointment of an informant to identify a new political coalition in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
After consultations launched by the Congolese Head of State, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, the latter announced Sunday December 6 the appointment of an informer who will identify a new coalition based on skills.
“It is with this new coalition that the government which will be put in place as soon as possible, will conduct its action during the rest of the five-year period, according to my vision, in order to meet the aspirations of the people,” said to the nation Felix Antoine Tshisekedi.
The coalition Common Front for Change and the Cape for Change (FCC-CACH) which governed the country was shattered following a petition by more than 250 deputies denouncing the political blockage that has become a mode of governance.
“The coalition government has not allowed the implementation of the political programme for which you had entrusted me with the supreme magistracy,” said Felix Antoine Tshisekedi. “We do not have the right to take the population hostage because of political quarrels for a repositioning,” Tshisekedi added.
The Congolese president wants to launch a new concept of governance based on skills within what he called “the Sacred Union of the Nation.”
