Through her Clara Lionel Foundation, Rihanna is donating $5 million to fight coronavirus. This amount will be shared between 5 organizations namely Partners In Health, Direct Relief, Feeding America, International Rescue Committee and World Health Organization (WHO).
The Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) she created is offering $5 million to fight the coronavirus. The money is earmarked for the purchase of protective equipment, medical supplies and access to food in several countries, including the United States, Haiti, Malawi and Barbados. Contributions are also made specifically to support indigenous communities.
The Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley, Rihanna’s country of origin, had revealed that the singer and entrepreneur had promised to pay $700,000 for fans to help in the treatment of coronavirus.
In addition, Rihanna donated medical supplies to protect New York hospital staff. This city has become the epicenter of the coronavirus epidemic in the United States. Her generosity will help ensure the safety of more doctors and nurses.
